The recurring rhythm
The durable layer is the weekly and monthly rhythm. Rucks, council, online council, and social nights give men repeated points of contact instead of one-off inspiration. Familiarity, trust, and accountability come from repetition.
- Rucks: Every Saturday & Monday, Edmonton, AB
- Council — In-Person: Monthly — 3rd week, Edmonton, AB
- Council — Online: Monthly — 3rd week, Online (Zoom)
- Social Night: Last week of each month, Edmonton, AB
Public rooms and member rooms
Some Longship events are public. Some are built for members. That distinction matters: a public art night like SEEN is different from council, forum work, member missions, early access, or recurring community programming.
- Public events are listed openly when available
- Council, forums, and missions are member programming
- Retreats and challenges register per event
- Each event listing carries its own dates and cost
What a ruck is
A ruck is simple: men show up early, carry weight or walk with intention, move through the river valley, and talk honestly while doing something physical. It is not a networking breakfast. It is a low-friction way to practice attendance.
